Juniper Springs Resort Housekeeping

Position:

Housekeeping Manager - Juniper Springs

Number of Positions:

1 Full Time   

Wage:

$33,280 - $39,054 / year

Status:

Year Round

Description: Administers and oversees housekeeping functions at the Juniper Springs Lodge and laundry operations. Interacts with property maintenance, grounds maintenance, and guest services. Motivates staff to the highest level of guest service, efficiency, and productivity.

Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains a staff of about 40 employees. Oversees work output and quality of service provided. Evaluates employee performance and administers personnel policy.

Requirements: High school graduate or equivalent experience. Minimum of four years experience supervising housekeeping, guest service and/or maintenance staff of a diverse group of employees. Hotel management experience required. Bi-lingual capabilities (English & Spanish languages) an advantage.

Proven track record managing a budget, planning and scheduling, as well as utililizing computerized systems for correspondence, budgeting, measuring performance, and maintaining records.

Fully CERTIFIED Ski Instructor - Winter 2010-11 Season

Description: This position is open to Qualified Domestic and Foreign instructors (visa restrictions apply). Successful applicants will teach Beginning thru Advanced skiing using the American Teaching System.

The Mammoth Mountain Ski & Snowboard School employs enthusiastic people who are driven to grow both personally and professionally. NOTE: we have limited openings for CERTIFIED Snowboard Instructors and favor applicants that possess the ability to ski and teach skiing. Please make note of your qualifications in your "cover letter" when you apply.

Compensation will depend upon experience, and also includes a performance bonus element.

Requirements: We are looking for “Fully Certified” instructors (ISIA stamp) with excellent verbal communication skills and a minimum of FOUR seasons teaching experience. Front Office Representative

Description: Greets, registers guests, and assigns rooms. Sells other Mammoth California services, such as Bike Park tickets, etc. Dispatches Housekeepers and Maintenance Service employees in response to guests' requests. Makes, changes and cancels reservations. Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel services as well as other Mammoth California services. Computes bill, collects payment, and checks guests out of the hotel. Deposits guests' valuables in hotel safe or safe deposit box.

NOTE: This opening presents a rather unique chance to work at a premiere "boutique" property, and is a rare opportunity to join the elite team at the Tamarack Lodge. Schedules vary, and we are open to discussing full-time as well as part-time opportunities, for the "right" candidate!

Requirements: High school graduate with general business office training or equivalent experience. Basic computer skills required. Minimum of one year experience in public or guest relations service. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Position:

Assistant Front Office Manager - Mammoth Mountain Inn

Description: Provides leadership to front desk employees. Funds controller for all specified revenue locations. Solves guests problems. Trains front desk employees on procedures and also helps plan and coordinate front desk staff meetings.

Participates in various projects with the use of Excel and Word software. Provides information in person and by telephone regarding hotel services. Assists guests in making, changing, and canceling reservations. Registers guests into and out of hotel.

Requirements: High School graduate with general business office training and college or equivalent experience. Computer skills required including Excel and Word.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of Front Office supervisory experience.

Minimum of 1 year managerial experience. Minimum of 1 year of guest relations and the ability to solve problems in a timely manner and show great hospitality.

NOTE: This position offers a combination of daytime as well as evening shifts.

Position:

Maintenance Supervisor

Description: Directs the entire Maintenance Staff in conjunction with Facilities Manager. Administers all processes related to completing timely guest requests and work orders to allow for maximizing hotel occupancy.

Organizes and oversees all preventative maintenance programs. Coordinates all hiring, training, supervision, and development of Maintenance Staff. Ensures staff compliance to procedures.

Oversees all services that the guests receive from the Maintenance Staff. Maintains the Mammoth Resort Lodging guest services standards and monitors guest comment cards and complaints. Evaluates staff performance, Prepares performance reviews and counsels employees on a timely basis. Takes on additional projects and responsibilities from General Manager.

Requirements: High school graduate or equivalent. College courses in management practices and systems, human relations, personnel management and written/verbal communications desirable. Five years experience in hotel maintenance and Building Department operations. One year of hotel Supervisory experience.

Lift Maintenance Technician

Description: If you like to ski or ride and work in the great outdoors, this job may be for you!

Under the supervision of a qualified lift technician you will maintain and repair ski lift machinery, controls, safety systems, and other equipment. New installations of machinery and electrical equipment are also possible. Daily pre-operational inspections of ski lifts electrical and mechanical components shall be performed after training.

We are looking for someone with mechanical skills and a strong electrical trouble-shooting background.

NOTE: Pay depends upon experience.

Requirements: Graduate from Electrical or Millwright course, or equivalent work experience.

Knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulics, motor controls and plcs a plus!

Applicant must be physically fit. Must communicate effectively (written and verbal skills) and be able to work in a team environment. Applicant will work outdoors in alpine weather conditions year round. Applicant must have or obtain a valid California drivers license.

Database and Reporting Manager

Description:

o Respond and resolve immediate problems and determine resolution to prevent reoccurrence.

o Baseline database performance and configuration and track stability/downtime for all data, database, and reporting systems. Monitor database performance via perfmon and extract results to an external database for trending and analysis. Use traces and other methods to analyze performance including SQLlogs.

o Administer, develop, and maintain Mammoth’s Microsoft SQL, Crystal Reports, Business Objects, and MS Reporting Services data environment and support all software releases.

o Demonstrate experience with hardware/database optimization and performance tuning including indexing and RAID configurations.

o Advanced knowledge of data models and data modeling for report design and database optimization.

Requirements:

o Candidate must have experience with data transformation (SSIS), stored procedures, maintenance plans, transactional and log-shipping replication, clustered database servers, database mirroring, and centralized storage systems.

o Experience with guest service, sales, or financial platforms is a plus such as Agilysis (formerly VisualOne) or Siriusware.

o The candidate must collaborate and be able to communicate effectively with both technical staff and users regarding systems, procedures, and troubleshooting and reporting requirements.

o Must be comfortable working some odd hours and on-call in case of emergencies.

o Familiarity with travel, leisure, and/or hospitality industries.

o 4-6 years of database experience required with a BS in Computer Science a big plus.
